Payments Admin Panel

Project overview
Payhost is a payment hub that helps businesses accept and manage payments via API. As the platform scaled, internal tools became harder to operate: routing rules were difficult to scan, actions were unclear, and everyday workflows required too much manual effort.
Problem
As payment volume grew, operators spent more time on repetitive tasks and faced a higher risk of mistakes. The admin panel had become harder to use: unclear navigation, overloaded tables, difficult filters, and extra steps for key actions slowed down operations and made the platform harder to scale for partners.

Goals
We focused on three levels of impact:
better operator workflows, lower operational costs,
and measurable improvements in speed and accuracy.
Constraints
Familiar Workflows
The redesign had to improve clarity without forcing operators to relearn everyday flows.
System Constraints
Solutions had to fit existing components, data structures, and technical limitations.
Limited Research Access
Due to NDA restrictions, research was based on internal insights and stakeholder feedback.
PrimeVue & BODS Constraints
The interface had to stay aligned with existing components and system rules.
Key Insights
Key desicions
Three key interactions were redesigned to make routing rules easier to review, update, and control during daily operations.
Operators can expand a rule, review its logic, and add conditions without leaving the table context.
Comments help teams capture operational notes directly inside routing rules.
Traffic can be distributed automatically between routes to reduce manual work and improve control.
Final interface
The final design brings routing rules, conditions, comments, traffic controls, and merchant analytics into a clearer workspace for daily operations.
Impact
The new routing interface improved daily operational
workflows by making rules easier to find,
actions clearer, and traffic management faster.
